Counseling Center: Engaging Antiracism Series

March 9 - 30, 2021

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Address

Chicago, IL 60612

A foundational piece of dismantling racism is listening to and supporting BIPOC communities; it is also critical to intervene when we see racism occurring and repairing harm when we contribute to racial harm. The Counseling Center, the UIC Dialogue Initiative and the Office of the Dean of Students welcome all students, faculty, and staff to attend a three-week virtual series on recognizing, interrupting, and apologizing for racial harm. This group will include both open and structured dialogues, as well as discussion around brief assigned readings; facilitators will provide participants with the readings for discussion.

This group will include no more than 12 participants; we ask that participants plan to attend all three sessions, if possible (the third meeting will be on 3/30 instead of 3/23 due to UIC Spring Break). Click here to register by March 5th!
